ORO Racks started with a problem—and a passion for solving it.
Back in 2016, while planning a three-week camping trip, we set out to buy a rooftop tent. With no roof rack on the old Ford Ranger, we needed a bed rack that could handle the load. We quickly found options were overpriced, single-purpose racks that offered very little flexibility—and almost no options readily available.
So, we built our own.
That first rack wasn’t fancy, but it got the job done. After the trip, we refined the design, built a second one, and before long, had friends and fellow adventurers asking for their own. That was the beginning of ORO Racks as we know it.
